Scott Buck
Scott Frederick Buck, 58, of Rush City, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family members.
Scott was born December, 3 1967, in St. Paul, MN, to Judy and Fred Buck. He graduated from Chisago Lakes High School and later pursued a career in law enforcement. Scott devoted more than 30 years of service as a Minneapolis Police Officer, dedicating his life to protecting and helping others. He served both the 2nd and 4th precincts with integrity, strength and compassion.
On September 5th, 1987, Scott married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Brenda (Hennen), with whom he shared 38 years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, and shared values. He was a devoted husband and a proud father, whose greatest joy came from time spent with family. Outside of hunting, hiking, and cross country skiing, Scott found peace and happiness in farming the land on his tractor.
Preceded in death by his father Fred Buck. Scott is survived by his beloved wife Brenda; his children Emily (Jason) Moe and Jonny Buck; mother Judy Buck; siblings Julie (Jere) Johnson and Steve (Ashley) Buck; his in-laws Gabe and Mary Hennen and Bonnie and Brent Shanahan.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation celebrating Scott’s life, held at Maranatha Church in Forest Lake, on December 30, 2025, from 10am to 12pm. Scott will be deeply missed and remembered by all that knew him for his “Words of Wisdom”, enduring patience, and for the honorable life he lived.
