Laura Lynn Beilke, 55, of Shafer, MN passed away from complications of her 28 year battle with Crohn’s disease on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.

Laura was born in Hutchinson, MN, November 12, 1970 to Alice (Alberts) Wirtz and Leonard Beilke. She was baptized in the Christian faith at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, MN and later confirmed at Light of Christ in Delano, MN. She grew up in and went to school in Delano, MN.

Laura was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend whose presence brought comfort and joy to everyone she met. A strong and independent women, she lived her life with a quiet determination and with a generous heart.

An avid gardener and lover of nature, Laura found peace tending to the earth and took great pride in canning the produce she grew with such care. Her love for animals shaped much of her life’s work. For 15 years she built and nurtured her own successful pet-sitting business, becoming a trusted part of her local community. She  delighted in making homemade dog treats for her own pets as well as clients’ pets, especially on their birthdays.

Laura was loved by all who knew her. Her kindness, dedication and gentle strength leave a lasting imprint on her family, friends and the many animals who were fortunate enough to be cared for by her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all.

She is survived by her mom Alice Wirtz of Shafer, MN, her father and stepmom Leonard and Dee Beilke of Delano, MN, sister Jodie (Roy) Whitney of Lester Prairie, MN and brother Jeremy (Brenda) Beilke of Watertown, MN, as well as two step sisters Doreen and Paula. nephews Geoffrey, Gregory and Devin, nieces Gillian and Jocelyn, many uncles, aunts, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on January 10, 2026 at Light of Christ Lutheran Church of Delano, MN. Funeral service will be at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to service.
