Local officers were called to many domestic-related incidents over the holiday week.  License plate reader devices posted on area roads are successfully identifying suspended and revoked drivers on area roads, which law enforcement is addressing.  A minor damage crash reported at Sven Shoes in Chisago City when an eastbound vehicle whose driver lost control on Highway 8, veered across the road and hit the deck area. Incident reported about 6:47 p.m. Dec 28.

On Dec. 29 at approximately 2:47 pm, the Chisago County Communications Center received a report of person laying on the ground at Paradise Park (11031 Stinson Ave) in Chisago City. The calling party believed the individual was deceased.

Responding Officers located the individual near a park shelter and confirmed he was deceased. 

The 63-year-old male’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family members.
