Chisago Lakes loses both home wrestling triangulars; Osceola next
The Wildcats hosted two triangulars last week, on Tuesday, January 28 and Thursday, January 30. The Wildcats lost all four of their duals in the two triangulars by remarkably similar scores.
They fell 44-26 to Milaca-Faith Christian; succumbed 47-27 to Fridley; lost 44-21 to Big Lake; and were beaten 46-21 by Princeton.
Individually, Logan Bender (285) went 4-0 to remain undefeated at 22-0 and he is still ranked first in the state at 285 pounds in Class AA, shooting for a second straight state championship. Connor Frederixon (215) was 3-1 and is now 26-4 for the season, ranked sixth in the state in Class AA at 215 pounds. And Frederixon’s loss was a 20-5 technical fall to Carson Gellerman of Big Lake, who is ranked number one in the state in Class AA at 189 pounds, so it’s not a loss that puts a blemish on Frederixon’s excellent season. Conner Aspenson went 3-1, as well. His record is now over .500 at 18-17.
Wrestling Whangdoodles
The Wildcats will take part in the Osceola/Chisago Lakes Wrestling Jamboree, which includes middle school, youth, and high school
