PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The Chisago City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on March 6, 2025, to review and recommend approval/denial of proposed amendments to Variance(s) included with an Interim Use Permit (IUP) application for 8920 275th St. (PID: # 13.10238.00).

The purpose of the IUP, as required in Section 3.2 of the Chisago City zoning code, is to allow the construction and operation of a solar farm. The property is zoned Low/Medium Density Residential (R-2).

The Variance amendment, as required in Section 3.4 of the Chisago City zoning code, is to deviate from the requirements in Chapter 6.12 Renewable Energy Sources of the Chisago City Zoning Code. Proposed amendments to variances include a removing portions of the screening berms and reduced tree planning height.

A copy of the site plan is available for review at city hall. This public hearing will commence at 6:35 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter and will be held at the City Hall, 10625 Railroad Avenue, Chisago City, MN 55013.
