The recent report of a suspicious male approaching a Forest Lake School District student while waiting on the street for a bus in Wyoming city, was found to have been fabricated.  Wyoming Chief of Police and Public Safety Director Neil Bauer released a statement after investigators looked into the allegations made by the student December 16. He explained that no corroborating evidence had been found.  When questioned further the reporting student admitted to making up the story.  

Chief Bauer extended the department’s thanks to the neighborhood and others who cooperated in the follow-up and were of assistance in reviewing door camera video footage, etc.

December 30 Report that state patrol is at a personal injury crash at Milltown Rd. and Hwy. 8 outside of Taylors Falls, at 12:39 p.m.  Early deadline for the paper missed the completed report being released.

December 25

Red Key realty building on Lake Lane was struck by a vehicle, that was on the frontage road and lost control. Incident reported 9:15 p.m. State Patrol is writing.

December 23 Fire hydrant at North Ave. and Shoquist Lane was taken out by a semi truck. Witness reported, driver was found by officer.

Tickets are being written for overnight on street parking.
