Gerald C. Mickelson was born at the St. Croix Falls Hospital in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin to parents Clarence and Norma Mickelson on August 3, 1944.  He passed away on the family farm in Chisago City, Minnesota on December 22, 2024 from natural causes.

Gerald graduated from Chisago High School in 1962 and also Dunwoody Technical College.  He was a carpenter and cement mason, and also a Sergeant in the Army National Guard.  He enjoyed farming, deer hunting, carpentry, and fishing.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Norma Mickelson; and brother in law John Duncan.  He is survived by his children Mike (Tina) Mickelson, Brian (Jodi) Mickelson, Amanda (Fred Haines) Mickelson, and Tim (Britany) Mickelson; 11 grandchildren; siblings Joyce Duncan and David (Ruth) Mickelson; and many nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of Gerald’s life will take place from 1 – 4 p.m. (Worship Service from noon – 1 p.m.) Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Chisago Lake Township Hall, 12400 316th St., in Lindstrom, Minnesota.  Interment will take place at a later date.  Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, MN.  Condolences may be expressed online at www. grandstrandfh.com
