Dodge County 4, Chisago Lakes 0
The Wildcats girls’ hockey team played the second-ranked Dodge County Wildcats for the second time in a little over a week, and the results weren’t much different from the first meeting. Chisago Lakes put up a good fight but found it difficult to score goals and were shut out 4-0. Dodge County outshot Chisago Lakes 40-16 for the game. Chisago Lakes goalie Evi Reedy performed well, stopping 36 of the 40 shots she faced.
Dodge County led 2-0 after the first period. They scored twice in the first three minutes of the second period to make it 4-0 and kept Chisago Lakes at bay for the final two periods. The game was played last Friday night at Chisago Lakes Arena.
Hockey Hullaballoo
After playing second-ranked Dodge County, it doesn’t get any easier for the Wildcats (6-10-0), who will play four straight home games over the next two weeks. Tonight, they will host the eighth-ranked Proctor/Hermantown Mirage at 7 p.m. And Tuesday, January 14, they will welcome the 12th-ranked South St. Paul Packers to Lindstrom for a 7 p.m. game.
