SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 2024-12-4
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SHAFER CITY CODE CHAPTER 4, SECTIONS 405.08, 405.09, AND 405.10 CONCERNING STORMWATER DRAINAGE FEES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on December 17, 2024, Ordinance No. 2024-12-4 was adopted by the City Council of Shafer, Minnesota.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that because of the lengthy nature of Ordinance No. 2024-12-4, the following summary of the ordinance has been prepared for publication:

Ordinance No. 2024-12-4 amends Shafer City Code Chapter 4, Section 405.08 to remove lots with buildings not connected to City water and sewer from the list of properties that are exempt from stormwater drainage fees; amends Shafer City Code Chapter 4, Section 405.09 to provide that property not connected to City water and sewer will be billed annually in the first quarter for the stormwater drainage fee; and amends Shafer City Code Chapter 4, Section 405.10 to provide that requests to recompute the stormwater drainage fee should be made to the City Clerk.

A printed copy of the entire ordinance is available for inspection by any person during the City’s regular office hours or on the City’s website.
