Julie Sibole passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of December 21st, 2024. It was her late husband’s birthday when she was called home to be with him and her Lord. Julie was born at the old Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis on July 28th, 1955. Growing up in South Minneapolis, she went on to live many places across the United States, finally settling in Lindstrom, MN. Julie devoted many years to the work that she loved at the Hazelden Foundation in Center City, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Theodore Sibole, her parents Harold and Norma Shannon, her brother Brian Shannon, as well as many other family, friends, and beloved animals. Julie was survived by her children, Jeremiah Cheatum (Angela), Zac Cheatum, Mandy Sumwalt, Christian Sibole, Teddy Sibole Jr., Shannon Stafford (Levi), and Susan Price, her loving siblings Jim Shannon, Gretchen Wesley, Micheal Shannon, Mary Huie, Cindy Stolp, David Shannon, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Julie’s ability to love was so unencumbered, its glow was cast over everyone she met.
A visitation will be held January 18 at First United Methodist Church in Lindstrom, Minnesota at 10am, followed by the Funeral service at 11am, with a luncheon upon the conclusion of the service.
