January 10        

One person was reportedly transported from a four vehicle crash scene on Highway 8 at Karmel in Chisago City, reported about 5:40 p.m.

A two-car crash on Itasca Avenue, rural Chisago City, was also reported about 1:20 p.m.  Each car was traveling in an opposite direction. State Patrol is writing these incidents, no information available at print deadline.

January 9

A barn was broken into and owners were still taking stock of what is missing. The site was on Jeffrey Avenue.

January 8

Chisago City Fire was sent to the scene of a septic mound that caught fire when dry vegetation was impacted by a thawing device placed on the mound. Call came in about 11:20 p.m.  Site was on 240th Street.

A vehicle struck a building in Stacy and authorities located the driver a short time later, who was detained on suspicion of DUI.

January 7

A school bus stop arm violation was cited and a 24 year old male ticketed. There were two vaping devices confiscated at Chisago Lakes High School and one knife.
