The North Branch gymnastics squad competed in the 10 team state true team meet last week at Big Lake High School and finished in sixth place. The unique meet is an invite only to the top 10 teams in Class A and instead of taking the top four scores from each event, it scores the top six scores, thus being a “true” team event. Top-ranked Detroit Lakes won the meet with a team score of 177.725 with Monticello scoring 176.675 for second place. Melrose Area finished third with 174.925, Becker fourth with 172.15 and Mankato West fifth with 168.35. North Branch was at sixth (168.3) Benson/KMS seventh (167.325), Worthington eighth (164.9), Byron ninth (161.625) and Mankato East 10th (160.225).
