With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Lee (Zebott) Quarn, who left us peacefully on July 12, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on October 6, 1947, in Duluth, Minnesota, Ruth lived a life defined by compassion, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to others.

Ruth is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 60 years, John "Butch" Quarn; her daughter Pamela "Kymberly" Quarn and wife Christina Richardson, along with their sons Ja'Linn and Lucas; and her son Robert "Bob" Quarn, his wife Annette Fisher Quarn, and their children Hannah and Danny. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Irwin and Rose Zebott, and her brothers Frank and Milton Zebott. 

Over her lifetime, Ruth wore many hats. Her focus in all she did was to serve others. She generously shared her many talents—cooking, baking, organizing, gardening, crafting, and restoring—with everyone. No matter where Ruth lived, she planted vegetables not just for her family, but to share with others. In her later years, she grew plants to give to friends and neighbors, so they too could enjoy fresh produce. Ruth’s legacy is one of selflessness, warmth, and boundless love. She touched countless lives through her actions and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
