A Shafer grandmother who is also a postal clerk in Scandia has donned yet another hat — that of a children's book author. Bonny Mack is excited to announce her colorfully illustrated story, relating an adventure involving a folklore figure, farm animals and a young boy, is available in book form. The softcover book, at 23 pages, is $15 at Apple iBooks, Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
Mack’s tale “Finley’s Farm: A Little Tomte on a Big Mission” tells the story of a Swedish tomte named Finley, who befriends Cluck Cluck and Marmalade and they hit the road looking for a new home. Mack explains, “Finley must face his fear of people and learn to trust them” as the title character and the boy carry out daring missions with “adorable results.”
Mack grew up on a farm and is passionate about promoting the lifestyle and spreading the positive message of caring for animals and making friends.
