CL girls lax team finally runs into a loss
St. Croix Prep 12, Chisago Lakes 11
After four straight blowouts to start the season, the Chisago Lakes girls lacrosse team was handed their first loss of the year in a 12-11 thriller against St. Croix Prep.
Much like the boys against Hill-Murray, the girls had a lead at halftime but St. Croix came out firing in the third quarter, scoring eight goals to just two for the ‘Cats.
Chisago Lakes put up a valiant effort to chase down the Lions in the fourth quarter, outscoring them by four goals, but it was just too little, too late as CL fell to 4-1 on the season.
Katelyn Anderson led the girls with five goals and two assists while Raeann Goehring, Evi Reedy and Camryn Hinsch all had a pair of scores for the ‘Cats.
Laura Carlson didn’t have her best game for the ‘Cats, allowing 12 goals on 17 shots.
