The North Branch girls tennis team made a stunning turnaround after winning zero games three years ago. They claimed a share of the Mississippi 8 Conference championship by beating Chisago Lakes 5-2 last week and moved to 22-3 on the year and 7-1 in the conference.
They tied with Cambridge-Isanti, who beat them, but then the Bluejackets lost to Monticello, who NB beat.
The team has been anchored by top singles players Paulina Rossini and Rebekah Wurdemann (above).
