October 3 a traffic stop for a faulty license plate light had law enforcement with the impression the occupants of the vehicle were providing probable cause to search the interior where police allege a K9 located M30, meth, fentanyl and unauthorized possession of prescription pills. Charges are pending. The vehicle was pulled over about 1:30 a.m.

October 2

A house on fire was called in by neighbors about 5:15 p.m. on Cooper Lane, Rush City. The Rush City firefighters said nobody was home but multiple animals were encountered when they responded. No details on damages.

A car was on fire on I-35 near Harris, with Stacy taking the call. The incident was reported about 7:50 a.m.

Chisago Lakes Middle School was vandalized and a student has been found to have been the perpetrator. The student is not allowed on site unless it is during school hours.
