October 6

A Rush City roadside license plate reader picked up a plate registered to a car reported as stolen, The operator was pulled over and arrested about 5 p.m.. Charges are pending for alleged possession of 20 grams of suspected meth which authorities discovered and vehicle theft.  The vehicle was not damaged.

October 7

A car struck a building on Stinson Boulevard in Chisago City, reported about 11:15 a.m. Driver transported to Fairview Lakes for chest pains.

October 8

Burnt food at the Chisago Lakes Middle School kitchen set off an alarm about 6:30 a.m.  No damage resulted.

An assaultive student was detained at the middle school about 1:15 p.m. and due to the incident involving an officer—the youth was going to be held at the regional juvenile center in Lino Lakes.

October 10

A citation was issued to a student for vaping aboard a bus and another citation was issued to a high school for possessing a vape device at school.

October 12

A “tiny house” on a trailer was spotted about 8:20 a.m. parked on city property in Chisago City and an electric cord was plugged into a city building. Subjects were advised to move along.

Lakes Area officer took a stray gray poodle to the Northwoods Humane Society that was found on Highway 8.
