It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, uncle, and friend Jack Joseph Haag, who left us peacefully on August 22, 2025, at the age of 64 after a long battle with cancer.

Jack was born on August 26, 1960, at Chisago Lakes Hospital in Chisago City, Minnesota. He attended and graduated from Taylors Falls School. He was active in football, basketball, Lettermen’s Club, and Library Club.

Jack grew up on a farm with four other siblings in Center City. Growing cucumbers was a way for him and his siblings to make some money during the summer. During his teenage years he worked at a mink farm, a state park summer program and Lindstrom Holiday Gas Station. Jack also went to St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Lindstrom for his religious education.

Jack loved to spend time with family during birthdays, holidays and family gatherings. He enjoyed being a part of his nieces and nephews’ birthday celebrations. He loved meatloaf and always vowed that his mom’s was the best! During his adult life, Jack had been active in volleyball at Taylors Falls School but switched his sport to golfing. Jack also enjoyed his yearly trip to Florida, usually with his sister and her family. Jack loved to play cribbage and card games.

Jack earned an Accounting Degree from 916 Area Vocational Technical Institute. He worked at the Chisago Lakes School District for 43 and ½ years in the accounting financial department.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents John Haag and Dorothy (Haag) Borg and husband Robert Borg, and niece Kaitlyn Mabel Haag. He is survived by his siblings Michael Haag, Lorraine (Kevin) Swenson, Jeanette (Lloyd) Jones, and David (Lori) Haag. Jack was proud to be an uncle to many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by many friends and previous co-workers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am. Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom, Minnesota. Visitation will be held 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom and one hour prior to the Mass, at church.  Interment at the Methodist Cemetery in Center City.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com
