The public restroom building at Moberg Park on Highway 8 in Chisago City is where this fentanyl response kit has been installed on the west side of the structure. It contains Naloxone (nasal spray form) and fentanyl test strips. These are regularly stocked inside the storage box available free, for use in the fight against overdose deaths from fentanyl. Please take what you will use but please don’t hoard. The organization Fentanyl Free Communities is offering all-hours access to combat overdose. Established Naloxone Access Points where products like Narcan are publicly accessible, are generally inside of buildings not open 24/7. This Fentanyl Free Communities station is provided using opioid lawsuit settlement monies administered through the Chisago County Opioid Action Council. There are 10 total stations now in Minnesota, and this Chisago City box is the first in Chisago County. Pictured are Michele Hein, FFC; Pastor Sarah Kerkes, council member; two staffers with Chisago City Parks, and city park Supt. Doris Zacho who is also on the council and a representative for county public health.
