April 12 grass fires reported in the north end of the county, Nessel Township. One was handled by DNR and Rush City Fire, reported about 4:15 p.m. on Falcon Avenue and the second called in about 4 p.m.on Basswood Road, put out by Braham Fire.

A medical related incident caused a vehicle to hit mailboxes and signage near Gable Ave in Stacy, about 3:30 p.m. Driver transported for care at Wyoming Fairview Lakes.

Control burn for prairie restoration reported near Masters Lane, Lindstrom, approximately 4 p.m.

A minor-aged driver was taken by ambulance for care after a rollover off Sunrise Road by Jess Avenue, about 4:30 p.m.  No details.

Lakes Area Police issed about a dozen tickets for violations of hands free/ no cell phone laws. Two vaping tickets were written to Chisago Lakes students. And, the on-street parking overnight prohibition expired April 14 in the local urban areas.

April 7

A pursuit of a truck that had a license plate reported as stolen ensued from a Rush City restaurant about 5 p.m.  The truck was able to elude authorities and was lost near Goose Creek Narrows.

An empty farmhouse burned  north of Lindstrom, reported about noon.  LFD and local patrols responded. Owner not at home.
