August 9

Sheriff deputy sent to handle a complaint of property damage at an address on River Street, Taylors Falls. 

Arrest was made in a gun pointing incident on Hemingway Avenue,  which North Branch Police requested assistance with. The suspect was caught about 7:20 p.m.

August 8

A Lakes Area officer called to aid state patrol in the arrest of a driver on Highway 8, about 8:20 p.m.

August 7

Juveniles in a side by side ATV crashed into a tree on Oriole Avenue about 2:40 p.m. Three persons were receiving care for minor injuries.

A group of juveniles on e motorcycles in the vicinity of Kwik Trip, west side of the freeway in North Branch, were being pulled over for no lights and the units fled. One was detained immediately.  The chase happened about 9:45 p.m.

A Flock license plate reader positioned in Rush City alerted law enforcement to a vehicle suspected in an assault and warrant for arrest case. There were three males in the suspect vehicle and one was taken into custody by Cloquet Police.

A male fired weapon(s) in a Wyoming neighborhood and Lakes Area officers assisted in placing him in custody. The incident was reported a little after midnight August 7.

August 4

If you noticed a group of people searching in the North Avenue area of Chisago City about 5:45 p.m. they were helping to look for a child with autism.  The youth was located and authorities said there are no concerns about the home safety, it was an accidental security glitch.

A two vehicle crash at Lofton and Green Lake Trail left one person in the roadway apparently injured. The incident was called in at about 11 a.m.  EMS evaluated the single hurt party.
