Our beloved mom, grandma and Gigi went into the arms of her Lord and Savior on July 15, 2026.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, Glenn, parents, brother and sister, and one great grandchild. Survived by children: Pamela (Larry) Visser; Cynthia (Terry) Kopp; Thomas (Susan) Polzine, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

Marlys faithfully partnered with her husband Glenn, serving nine Presbyterian churches in the Midwest for over 41 years. She loved times with family, and cherished visits with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the ideal hostess, always making her home a welcoming place. She loved to cook, bake, sew, crochet, complete jigsaw puzzles, read, travel and spend time with family and friends. She lived her life according to Philippians 4:11-13, learning to remain joyful and peaceful in every situation, because of her relationship with the Lord.

A celebration of Marlys' life will be held on Aug. 29 at First United Methodist Church, 13550 Third Avenue North, Lindstrom, MN. Visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m. A luncheon will be served following. A private interment will be held later.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to go to Samaritan's Purse.
