Janet Marie Atwater (Swenson), age 95 of Wyoming. Loving Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, passed away surrounded by family on January 28, 2026. Preceded in death by son, Scott; son-in-law, Steve Landwehr; siblings, Don Swenson, Robert Swenson, Mary Theno. Survived by children, David, Cynthia (Howard) Hultman, Susan Landwehr, Candace, Pamela (Douglas) Jeans; daughter-in-law, Kimberly; many grandchildren and  great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Janet loved to spend her time playing Bingo and knitting hats to donate to newborn babies at the hospital. She also enjoyed listening to music, particularly Michael Bublé  and Frank Sinatra. Family was the cornerstone of her life, she especially liked going out to eat or shopping with her children and grandchildren. Another “family” to Janet was the community at the Meadows on Fairview, where she lived and thrived for 14 years. Thank you to their wonderful staff for all of the love shared and care.

Janet’s life will be celebrated with a service at 3 PM Thursday, February 5, with visitation beginning at 2 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, Forest Lake. Memorials preferred to Faith Lutheran Church.m
