Zimmerman Dual

The Viking wrestling team was crushed by Zimmerman 60-6 in a dual meet last Thursday, January 15 at Zimmerman High School. Logan Radiske (160) pinned Easton Hout of Zimmerman midway through the third period to pick up the only Viking points of the day.

St. Croix Lutheran Crusader Invitational

The Vikings came in sixth out of 15 teams at the St. Croix Lutheran Crusader Invitational last Saturday, January 17.  The Vikings sent 14 wrestlers, including two at two of the weights, to the tournament. The highest finisher was Tucker Kovarik, who came in fourth at 107 pounds. Kovarik pinned Jacksten Knish of WEM-JWP at 1:35. He lost to Owen Birkauer of Ogilvie by a 3-0 decision in the semifinals.  In the third-place match, Dennis Kind of Roseville beat Kovarik by an 8-4 decision.
