Where to caucus in 2026
Local political caucus sites are open February 3, from 7 p.m. until the action wraps up. The participation is guided by your polling precinct, and small groups gather to discuss who to endorse for candidacy in the party that is holding the caucus. There is also opportunity to introduce resolutions (Be it resolved.....) on issues that need to be addressed. This can range from concerns about climate to societal matters to crime or anything political parties play a role in.
The groups adopt or reject the introduced resolutions and the ones that are adopted advance to the state senate district convention (to be held Feb 28), and continue to the CD 8 convention and to the state gathering. The resolutions that are supported become part of the party political “platform.” Caucus action truly is where grassroots issues take hold. You also have the chance to volunteer for serving as a delegate to a larger event.
If you want a form to guide you or a sample resolution for reference in writing a resolution of your own, there are tips and materials available at party websites. Look under “resources.”
