Demolition — if cleared by environmental testing of materials— was reportedly starting this week on the shore of South Lindstrom Lake where the Dinnerbel and two homes are to be razed. Flyers were distributed to inform nearby property owners.  The properties have been vacant for several years.

June 19 a report of an unresponsive 12 year old girl at Rush City Aquatic Center came in at 12:10 p.m.  Lakes Region EMS, sheriff patrol and Rush City schools responded as a pool staff member initiated lifesaving measures. and the girl regained consciousness and was transported to Cambridge Hospital for evaluation, according to the Chisago County Sheriff. 

Trees were downed as a result of high wind in the area last week, power was cut in an area around Lamar and 281 in Chisago City when a limb hit a line. The north end of the county sustained much more weather damage, with hail and wind impacts and a power loss in North Branch reported from Friday’s storms.

June 17 A complaint was looked into that a property on Leilani Lane in Chisago City was being worked on with heavy equipment lacking a permit for lakeshore alteration. City is checking into.

Vehicles were egged in the Chisago Lakes area over the week, reports were just egg residue and no damages.
