Steven Earle Dufresne, aged 79, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Born on April 1, 1946, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Steven was a proud resident of Lindstrom, Minnesota, for many years.
A dedicated veteran, Steven served with honor and commitment. He was actively involved in his community as a member of the Vietnam Veterans and the Forest Lake Fire Department. Steven was a skilled welder and fabricator, contributing 22 years of service to the aerospace and defense industry with Honeywell / Alliant Techsystems.
Throughout his life, Steven found great joy in assisting others. Whether pulling cars from ditches, rescuing people stranded in snowstorms, or helping search for lost children, he was always ready to lend a hand. His generosity extended to his vocation, as he often completed welding projects free of charge for those in need. More recently, he dedicated his time to making hats and scarves on his loom for veterans at the VA hospital.
Steven's legacy is enriched by his deep commitment to his family. Married on May 24, 1969, in Forest Lake, Minnesota, he was a constant source of love, strength, and support for his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Judee Dufresne; children Alyssa (Glenn) Deering, Jason (Aimee) Dufresne, Jennine Johnson; his siblings Wendy (Terry) Smith, Diane (Jim) Bowersox, Jeff Dufresne, sister in law Lorna Henton; and 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three nephewsand three nieces, who cherish the memories of his unwavering presence and support.
Steven's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
In keeping with their wishes, the family will host a private Celebration of Life.
