Betty Boucher
Betty Lou Boucher (Moore) aka (King), age 85, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Hayden Grove Senior Living after living 12 years with dementia.
Betty was born January 5, 1941, in Evansville IN to parents James and Mary Ruth (Brandle) Moore. She was the middle child of three girls and a graduate of Reitz High School. Betty met Robin Roy King, an army paratrooper from MN stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. Betty and Robin married in 1961 and proceeded to have three children. They eventually moved to South St Paul, MN. Betty worked for the State of Minnesota, Department of Education, Fiscal Services Division.
Betty and Robin divorced in 1980. When Betty married Frank “Jerry” Boucher, Jr. on January 22, 1982, she became a stepmother to four children.
Betty and Frank moved to Taylors Falls MN in 2001 shortly before she retired in 2003 after 35 years of state service.
Betty had a passion for genealogy, and she belonged to various historical societies. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, and attending their sporting events, plays, concerts and recitals.
Betty is survived by her children Cheri Libby (King) of South St Paul, MN, Tony (Traci) King of Cottage Grove, MN, and Michael King of West St Paul, MN; step-children Lori (Peter) Lowery of Motley, MN, Lisa (Greg) Thoennes of Evansville, MN, Mary Jenson of Luck, WI, David Boucher of Farmington, MN; and several grand and great grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband Frank “Jerry” Boucher; parents James Roy and Mary Ruth Moore; siblings Virginia Carol Busch, Susan “Susie” Jane Petitjean; brother-in-law Eugene Petitjean; former spouse Robin Roy King; and several other family members.
The family extends their gratitude to Brookdale Senior Living WSP, Hayden Grove Senior Living Bloomington and Grace Hospice for their compassion and care provided to Betty.
A Funeral Service will be held for Betty at 11 AM Saturday March 14, 2026, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls, MN with visitation one hour prior. Burial at Kahbakong Cemetery in Taylors Falls, MN to follow service.
