Warren Glenna

Warren A. Glenna, 80, of Shafer, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on March 5th, 2026 after his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his beloved family.

Warren was born on July 15th, 1945 to Ruben and Ellen Glenna. He grew up in Chisago City, Minnesota and attended Chisago City High School.

Warren worked as a butcher for 30 years at Country Club Market and worked alongside his daughter Jody for seven of those years. He started a residential construction company, “Estate Builders”, with his son, Wade, in 1992. After Warren’s retirement in 2006, Estate Builders continued to grow under Wade’s leadership and Warren’s incredible mentorship. He was known for his ability to calmly navigate any situation.

Outside of work, Warren loved riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed traveling to his second home in Mission, Texas for winters and to his treasured hunting land in Hovland, Minnesota in the fall.

Warren met the love of his life, Ellen Shoenmann, when they were teenagers. They were married June 13, 1964 and their 57 years of marriage were filled with laughter, unconditional love, and unforgettable memories. After almost four long years apart, Warren has now joined his beloved wife in heaven.

Warren leaves behind his two children, Wade and Jody; his daughter-in-law, Beth; his three grandchildren, Shantel, Allison, and Cameron; and his great-granddaughter, Janessa. He is also survived by his sister Carol Peterson; his brother Gene Glenna (Joyce); sister-in-law Terry and his best friend Richard Tesch.

Warren was preceded in death by his wife Ellen; his son Timothy; his grandson Justin Green; his parents, Ruben and Ellen; his brother Jerry; and his twin brother Wayne.

Warren will be remembered by his warm spirit, kind heart, and contagious laugh. His presence brought comfort to everyone and he was someone you could always rely on. His favorite title was “Grandpa”. Warren was a man that gave his family unconditional love and never hesitated to say the words “I love you”. He was a man that made everyone feel safe and you always felt important in his presence. His close-knit family is a true testament to Warren’s love and he will be greatly missed
