Giese named North Branch’s Athena Award winner
Brooke Giese has built an outstanding high school career marked by excellence in athletics, academics, and community involvement.
A three-sport athlete, Brooke has earned numerous honors across volleyball, gymnastics, and track and field. In volleyball, she earned three varsity letters, was named All-Conference once and All-State three times, while also receiving the team’s Best Defense Award twice. She served as a team captain and was a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree. Her team also finished as the 2024 Section Runner-Up.
In gymnastics, Brooke earned four varsity letters, along with two Honorable Mention selections and two All-State honors. She served as a team captain and earned Academic All-Conference recognition three times. She also competed at the True Team State Meet.
Brooke’s track and field career includes six varsity letters. She was a two-time All-Conference selection, earned two Honorable Mentions, and achieved All-State honors once as a pole vaulter. She also earned Academic All-Conference recognition three times, competed in the True Team State Meet twice, and qualified for the MSHSL State Meet.
Beyond athletics, Brooke has been actively involved in school and community activities. She contributed as a coach for Powder Puff Volleyball and participated in Powder Puff Football during homecoming. Her volunteer efforts include working with JO Volleyball, Junior Track & Field, School-Aged Gymnastics, and the Stacy-Lent Fire Department Santa Days.
Academically, Brooke has challenged herself through full-time Post Secondary coursework.
Following graduation, Brooke plans to pursue a degree in nursing while continuing her track and field career at the collegiate level.
