Carol Jean Olson, 81 years old, died at her residence in Scandia, MN on May 13, 2026.  

Carol Jean is preceded in death by her mom Eva Steinert and her dad James Steinert.  She is survived by her husband John Olson; children Rebecca (Mark) Bringgold, and Karen Olson; grandchildren Antonio Bringgold and Alexandra Bringgold.

Carol made her husband, children, and grandchildren a priority.  Her hobbies were gardening both vegetable and flowers, making cakes, (she was nicknamed “the cake lady”, scrapbooking, and ceramics.  She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026 at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom, MN.  Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom and one hour prior to the Mass at church.
