September 27 A report of a large amount of methamphetamine seized after a traffic stop for speeding was initiated at 4 a.m. on I-35, and the motorcycle driver fled south to where he exited at Wyoming city.  The motorcycle crashed in Anoka County and the operator was taken to the hospital where he was cleared to be jailed in Center City.

September 25

A pickup carrying a large gas container spilled the contents at Jasper Court and Hwy 8, about 6 p.m.  Chisago City firefighters were summoned for clean-up, and the duty officer for the Pollution Control Agency was notified.  No injuries reported.

September 24

Assault reported about 8 p.m. in Lindstrom and Lakes Area Police investigated, resulting in quickly issued  citations for disorderly conduct to three males.

Xcel Energy was notified of extensive damage to the system in an area near Oriole Ave and 392nd, reported about noon. The person who created the incident called Xcel to report it.  Law enforcement later identified the tractor operator who allegedly was behind the wheel when the tractor tore up lines and took down at least one pole.  Almelund Fire aided at the scene.

September 22

A motorcycle rider was hit by a deer as he drove on Vista Road, about 7:13 p.m.  A witness reported the motorcycle was moving at regular speed.  Taylors Falls First Responders were dispatched. No update on the driver’s condition, who deputies noted did not exhibit any signs of being under the influence.
