It is now too late to remove his name from the November ballots but senate District 28 candidate Max Glenna, Shafer, has declared he is suspending his campaign due to an allegation recently surfacing, which he has apologized for.  

A former classmate, Ashley Bronson, posted screen shots of a text dialogue between Glenna and herself, following her receipt of an unsolicited photo of Glenna’s private parts two years ago.  In the recently re-posted messages, he apologizes for sending the image.  The relevant  messages are dated from  Oct. 31-Nov. 1, 2024.

The internet news outlet Alpha News reported Glenna told a reporter he was aware the messages had surfaced and he is suspending his campaign to unseat State Senator Mark Koran.  He stated he had no further comment.  The Chisago County Press reached out to Glenna early this week and did not hear back.
