The county attorney is reviewing a preliminary investigative file to consider charges in connection with an incident, where a youth was hit by a vehicle at (or near) the A-1 Tire Service and storage facility on the west side of the freeway,  at Athens Trail, Stacy.  Authorities were sent about 12:30 p.m. October 18 on a report of a pedestrian being struck. Ambulance transport was requested.

An arrest was made but public details are pending.  An email to the county attorney on Monday was not returned as of press time.

Lakes Area got a report of juveniles observed trespassing on private yards with an ATV.  They allegedly fled police in a Chisago City neighborhood, about 3:45 p.m. October 18. The ATV was seized by authorities and the subjects were identified as they ran on foot.

October 17

Burnt food was the cause of a smokey location on East Street reported about 2:50 p.m. No serious damage and smoke was ventilated by the fire department.  Also an oven glove was found to have been burned and the smoke caused concern at an address on Glader Boulevard, about 8 p.m.

One THC vape device found at the Chisago Lakes High School and a 15 year old was cited.

October 13

A SWAT call out to an address on 380th St in North Branch involved local officers. A suspect was taken into custody alleged to have been in a domestic assault situation with a gun. The call came in at about 2:12 p.m.

Multiple complaint calls over several days last week involving a couple of yaks, who apparently could not be contained and were being spotted around the vicinity of Karmel Avenue to Liberty Lane, Chisago City. 

October 11

Theft of rifles from a garage causing an electronic alert sent to the property owner. A suspect, 20, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Incident happened on 288th St in Lindstrom.
