Rotary works on SIRT

A day of hard work for the community, and Chisago Lakes Rotary , to improve the Swedish Immigrant Regional Bike Trail. This is just the beginning of a large project for the trail including mile markers, custom bike racks, historical markers, and kiosk at the upcoming trailhead site in Center City. Thanks to the Chisago Lakes Community Foundation Fund and all the cities along the trail, Chisago County Parks and Trails Foundation, Chisago County Parks, individual donors, and above all the Chisago Lakes Rotary Club for support of the projectselected for the Big Idea Grant from the Chisago Lakes Area Community Foundation. 

Rotary Members and other volunteers worked to install the Historical Marker for Taylors Falls and the first six Mile Markers on the Swedish Immigrant Regional Bike Trail. The Taylors Falls Historical Marker sign was designed by Alyssa Auten from Taylors Falls.  Mile Marker Posts are fabricated by Unruly Acres.
