North Branch's volleyball season leads to a number of accolades

After going 20-8 on the year and knocking off five-time defending section champion Andover, North Branch’s volleyball team had a literal cornucopia of awards handed out to them last week. The All-North Suburban Conference awards went to senior Jessica Merchant, freshman Courtney Selbitschka and senior Taylor Spence.

CL grad earns All-American status at CSS

College of St. Scholastica's Chelsea Johnson, North Branch, had the highest finish of any CSS women's cross country runner before her at an NCAA Championship race, placing 15th at the 2012 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, with a program record time of 21:30.3.

Own goal mistakes cost Chisago Lakes

The tenth-seeded Wildcats were responsible for all three goals in their section quarterfinal game at second-seeded Hermantown on Saturday, October 13. Unfortunately, two of those goals went into their own net and the Wildcats lost 2-1 to end their season.
