Walking for the pups and kitties!
It rained just enought to settle the dust Saturday, Sept. 14 as Northwoods Humane Society supporters showed up to walk a back road in the old Lent Township area. The annual Walk For the Animals fundraiser stepped off just as the cloudy skies parted. The event is based at Lent Township Hall and includes a bake sale, agility course, games for your dog friends, and a silent auction with great creative (mostly pet-related items) to bid on. Northwoods Humane Society is off Hwy. 8 a little east of the Greenway Avenue commercial intersection.
