Bring the kids by the Chisago Lakes Hockey Association booth at Karl Oskar Days and meet Matt Koalska, member of the two-time defending National Champion University of Minnesota Hockey Team. Koalska will be signing autographs from noon to 2 p.m. at the Arts Fair on Saturday, July 12. In addition, autographed posters and other prizes will be available. Kids can test the speed of their slap shot on our rink. Register your mite (ages 3-9) at the booth for the upcoming season (Mite registration only, general registration is in early September for all ages).

The senior forward will be one of the key pieces for the Gophers this upcoming season in their search for three straight National titles. Drafted in the fifth round by the Nashville Predators, Koalska finished fourth on the Gophers in scoring last season with 40 points (9 goals, 31 assists). Koalska was a Mr. Hockey finalist in 1999 before graduating from Hill-Murray High School.
