In the three-way race for the Chisago County Board that was part of the primary ballot Tuesday this week— the unofficial results show Rick Greene and Chris DuBose will continue their campaigns. Challenger Paula Hanson came in third. Greene got 766 in primary voting and DuBose received  833 votes.  Commissioner Greene took Amador, Franconia and Shafer Township precincts and DuBose won in cities of Taylors Falls, Shafer, Center City and Chisago Lake Township north and south.

The statewide primary ballots and vote totals within Chisago County came in as follows:

Gubernatorial candidate Mike Lindell got more votes than Lisa Demuth, but Demuth is the early GOP candidate based on incomplete Wednesday morning results.  There were several vying to be the Republican Party candidate hoping to run against Amy Klobuchar.  Lindell got 2,172 Chisago County votes, Demuth got 2,118.

The county supported Michele Tafoya to run for the GOP for U.S. Senate, with 2,794 votes. Runner-up in the GOP primary here was Adam Schwarze with 1,351.

Angie Craig won Chisago County’s DFL votes with 2,100. Peggy Flanagan, who is declared the Democrat primary winner got 2,086 in Chisago County.

Incumbent Congressman Peter Stauber will be challenged by endorsed candidate DFLer Trina Swanson in November. Swanson got 2,876 to the next runner-up Luke Gulbranson with 844 in Chisago County.

There was no data shared by election officials at the time this print edition was published on voter turnout compared to registered voters eligible to vote.
