Harris V. Brandt, age 92, of Chisago City, died June 22, 2003, at Green Acres Country Care, in North Branch.

He was born Jan. 18, 1911, on the Carl Strand farm, north of Chisago City, to parents Victor and Mayme (Johnson) Brandt.

He married Cordelia Johnson July 31, 1938, at the Methodist Church, in Denham, Minn.

Harris spent his career in the creamery business in Finlayson, Lindstrom and Chisago City for 39 years, a custodian for the Chisago Lakes School District for 13 years, and a custodian at First United Methodist Church for 10 years. Harris was given the 1987 Chisago County Outstanding Senior Citizen Award. He served as a president of Chisago Lakes Seniors, delivered Meals-on-Wheels and served meals at the North Branch Nutrition Center.

He is preceded in death by wife, Cordelia and sister, Jeanette Morris.

Harris is survived by sons: Gaylon and Darvyn (Constance); grandchildren: Shawn (Michele) and Stacey.

Private funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday at Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom. Visitation Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m., at Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom. Interment Fairview Cemetery.
