Can you believe the nurse who decided to sell flu shots at two local colleges. I’m sure she had the right intentions, but can you imagine the shear terror she put into these students lives for three to four days? I couldn’t even guess how I would take the news that someone could have injected me with something other than a flu shot. If we find out that the shots were legit, this nurse should be punished for the panic she created with each and every person she immunized.
Speaking of shock, have you looked at your property taxes for the upcoming year? Good grief have they really skyrocketed. I understand that the county needs to tax accordingly, but it seems that we will be taxing people out of town pretty soon. I used to laugh at my brother (who lives on the other side of the river) because of how high his taxes were but now I seem to be the one getting laughed at.
I don’t know about you but I am ready for winter to arrive. This lower 40’s drizzly weather is really starting to get people down. We need some snow to cheer people up. People are starting to talk about my children who sit out on the grass in their sleds.
The other day I had to get some gas and I stopped in at Rod’s in Almelund. Wow, what a great store they have built. They have just about anything you need, along with gas. If you are in the Almelund area, stop in and see what a terrific job they did on their new store.
We are still taking coloring contest entries. The winners will be picked December 17. If you have a 2004 Gift Guide, the picture to color is on page 2. If you would like a Gift Guide, come into the Press and we would be happy to give you one. There will be four prizes given for two categories, so please get your entries in.
