Lauren Hindi has big plans for her 2005 summer vacation. After her sophomore year at Forest Lake High School; she’s off to Palm Springs, California, to compete as Miss Minnesota Teen U.S.A. in the national pageant. The national winner will be crowned in August.

Hindi, of the Stacy area, won the state title vying against 77 contestants in the pageant held the last weekend of November.

Lauren’s parents are Bruce and Sheryl and the 16-year-old also has two sisters--Brooke and Talia. Bruce Hindi noted that Talia was first runner-up in the pageant last year, so Lauren had some insight into what to expect. He also liked to acknowledge the area business people who helped to sponsor Lauen in her quest for the state title. They are: Stacy Lions, Trail Cycle, NABPCO in Lindstrom, Holmquist Chiropractic, Old Towne Chiropractic, Recycled Wardrobes, Sunrise Auto Sales in Stacy, and additional businesses in the metro area.
