“”They were awesome,” said Angie Bennett, Chisago Lakes head Dance Team coach. “That was their best performance all year. They just nailed it.”
At just the right time. The meet was so close that four points separated the ‘Cats from first place Duluth East, meaning when the state tourney kicks off, anything can happen. In total, 12 teams will compete at state with six making it to the finals on Friday night. Chisago hopes to be one of them.
“I know we can be in the top half,” stated Bennett. “It’s just a matter of what team puts it all together. We’re peaking right now, I couldn’t have planned it any better. We get a chance to work on some things this week, and hopefully, we can put it all together on Friday. It’s going to be awesome, I’m really excited.”
The Wildcats will be the second team to compete on Friday, stepping onto the floor at 12:08 p.m., looking for a ticket into the finals which begin at 7 p.m. Friday night. The awards presentation will follow.
