Chisago Lakes 97

On the strength of their balance, the Chisago Lakes boys swimming and diving team swam to another win last Tuesday versus Hudson, Wisconsin.

Despite winning only two events, the ‘Cats grabbed control of the meet after diving and never let go, defeating Hudson 97-89. Leading 87-85 heading into the final event, the 400 freestyle relay, the Wildcats clinched the win in dramatic fashion by taking first, third, and fourth. The relay team of John Roggemann, Andrew Turner, Hunter Heggerston, and Steve Boo delivered the knock-out punch by taking first, beating Hudson by almost four seconds.

In addition, Brian Willhite continued his perfect season by placing first in diving. Jeremy Salokar followed with a third place finish and Adam Sill was fourth.

Individually, Roggemann finished second in two events while Willhite, Heggerston, Boo, and Trevor Schuler also picked up a second place finish during the meet.

As for the relays, in addition to the ‘Cats win in the 400 freestyle, Chisago finished second in the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.
