Veteran's Memorial dedication this Saturday in Lindstrom
If you were parked anywhere from Lake Area Bank over to the corner of Highway 8 and County Road 20 during the painting period, I would ask you to take a look at your vehicle. If you do in fact find white spots, I would encourage you to contact the City of Lindstrom. Keep in mind the City of Lindstrom is in no way responsible for the damages to our vehicles, but they will know the correct path in pursuing justice.
This Saturday will be your chance to honor those who have given their lives to and those who have served our country in the Armed Forces. The Chisago County All Veterans Memorial dedication will take place November 5, at 2 p.m., in Memorial Park, in Lindstrom. These soldiers have given their lives to make our country the greatest country in the world. Today we enjoy freedom and a way of life that is unparalleled and second to none all because of these great people.
There will also be a flag retirement ceremony following the dedication. If you have a ripped, faded or soiled flag, you are encouraged to drop them off and they will be disposed of properly.
I hope everybody had a happy and safe Halloween. The weather was finally perfect this year. For some reason our children were more excited than Christmas this year. Maybe the fact that they are quickly becoming more independent as they grow older and less dependent on their old boring parents might have something to do with it. I did notice something really neat this Halloween. I noticed that there were a lot more homeowners actively taking part in the candy dispersement. There were so many homeowners dressed up in different costumes it was neat to see who or what was going to be at the next house.
