Should we really be selling our ports?

Should we really be selling our ports?
Should we really be selling our ports?

It seems that our government is about to make one colossal mistake very soon. I know you are thinking––which mistake? There have been so many. I’m referring to the potential sale of six (yes six) American ports. A company in the United Arab Emirates has put up $6.8 billion for the rights to six ports located from New Orleans all the way to New York.

Is it just me....or does anybody else see a conflict in homeland security? I’m not saying that automatically there will be an association with terrorists, but my goodness, why even allow the opportunity to arise.

One of the greatest assets of our country is at times is also one of our biggest flaws. I’m talking about our willingness to trust. Yes, there is a real fulfilling almost spiritual feeling we get when we allow ourselves to trust a stranger, but what are we going to do when buildings are being blown up in our own backyards because we are so trusting. I think the government needs to take a long hard look at this potential sale. And I trust they will make the right decision.

We have received some more entries in our Search Shopper logo contest. If you have a creative side, why don’t you show us, you could win the money and be printed on the cover each and every week! If you are a designer, wouldn’t that look good in your portfolio? Look for details in this Press and please send them in....who knows?

On Valentines Day I was really in a funk. I didn’t want to go the old chocolate and flowers route and at the same time a new diamond ring was clearly out of the question. Then it hit me. Why not see what Gustaf’s has to offer? It had been a while since I had visited Gustaf’s, and was I surprised. What a beautiful store. There is a piece of art for every taste and every budget. There were so many potential gifts that I couldn’t decide. Being a typical male and taking the easy way out I purchased a gift certificate. It was one of the best presents I have ever given on Valentine’s or any other day. Who knew?
