The Viking boys were led, as usual, by Nick Ramberg and JJ Koerber. Sophomore Mike Heidelberger continued his improvement. Heidelberger’s time (17:56) was 50 seconds faster than he ran at the North Branch Invite and moved him to third on the Viking team.
The girls ran well, despite missing regulars Ali Zimmerman and Haley Hasleiet due to injuries. Miranda Charley and Shayna Gray led their team to its fourth place finish.

In the Milaca Mega Meet, Saturday, September 23, the varsity boys were eighth of 22 teams. Individually, Nick Ramberg was eighth of 148 runners.

At Milaca, the girls ran as individuals, rather than as a team. Miranda Charley won the 110 runner ninth grade race with a time of 16:07. Shayna Gray was sixth of 120 girls in the eighth grade race. and Briana Berthiaume was 12th among 98 tenth graders.
The Vikings’ next meet is at Tuesday, October 3 at 4:30.
