The newly-offered summer program for youths called "Safety Camp" was in session August 1 and 2. Put together by Chisago Lakes Community Education; the day camp also involved University of Minnesota Extension and Public Health staff. Presenters included law enforcement with bike riding safety and a K9 demonstration, Lakes Region EMS on first aid, the Air National Guard brought a helicopter August 2.

Also Hope Moulton, Extension educator, talked about kitchen safety and food illness and proper food handling, Wild Mountain Recreation Area was there presenting snowboarding safety, and Lindstrom firefighters set up the demonstration "smokehouse" for a presentation on fire safety and how to react if you are in a fire.
