It is with deep sadness that the staff of the Chisago County Department of Environmental Services/Zoning announce the passing of our much loved retired Director Marion Heemsbergen Friday, January 5.

The funeral will be held in Lometa, Texas, Saturday, January 13.

A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Almelund, Saturday, January 20, at 1 p.m., for those unable to travel to Texas. Marion and Dorothy were long time members of Immanuel.

Marion was employed by Chisago County for 26 years, and retired to Texas in 2004. Marion had been diagnosed with cancer several years ago, and also had lung disease.

Please keep Marion, his wife Dorothy, their children and grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers.
